Cava

Cava is a type of wine made with the champenoise method as champagne, but with different grape varieties. Mainly used varieties are Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, all indigenous to the Penedès region.

  • Macabeo is the variety most commonly used in the production of champagne has floral aromas and subtle fruit flavor and fruit.
  • Xarel·lo contributes body and structure is much more aromatic and rich floral aromas and pear even some notes similar to sweet.
  • Parellada usually mix due to its high acidity and citrus flavors spicy.
